Galápagos Cruises

A cruise around the Galapagos is the ideal way to experience the beauty and diversity of the islands and to admire the amazing land and marine life. Individual boat itineraries are fixed, however, the route may be changed due to weather conditions, unforeseen circumstances or conservation concerns.

Please see below a selection of cruise boats – we recommend booking in advance by 9-12 months due to such great demand for this unique destination!

Suggestions for choosing a cruise:-

  • When choosing the duration, a 7 night cruise is the longest duration available and gives the ultimate amount of time, however, if time is limited, a 3 or 4 night cruise is certainly a reasonable amount of time to experience and enjoy the islands.
  • When deciding on a boat, there is a choice of sailing/motor yacht, catamaran or motor yacht.
  • It is recommended to consider the maximum number of guests on the vessel.
  • All naturalist guides on board are trained by the Galapagos National Park Authority. Group guided tours on the islands are a maximum of one guide to sixteen guests.

Please note: When booking a Galapagos cruise a deposit for the cruise will be required in addition to our standard deposit. Upon entry to the Galapagos Islands, there is a compulsory National Park fee, currently USD100 per person and a newly introduced Transit Card fee of USD10 per person.

Due to the current volatile situation regarding the price of oil, it may be essential for the cruise companies to add a fuel surcharge – we will advise at the time of booking.

All our holidays to the Galápagos include one years’ membership to the Galápagos Conservation Trust (GCT). You will receive a membership pack direct from them. The funds raised by GCT are used to help the Galápagos in a wide range of ways - for more information on the GCT please see our charities page >

Galapagos Hotels

There is an alternative to taking a cruise to the Galapagos Islands by staying in a hotel on the island of Santa Cruz. The Charles Darwin Research Station is located on Santa Cruz, together with the Highlands, where is it possible to walk amongst the colony of the famous Galápagos Giant Tortoises.

It is possible to visit the islands of Santa Fe, South Plaza, North Seymour and Bartholome from Santa Cruz; this is arranged either by reserving a ‘package’ when staying at the Finch Bay or by booking upon arrival at the Royal Palm and Galapagos Safari Camp.
