The Emerald Coast - Bay of Angra dos Reis & Parati

To the west of Rio, the scenery changes and tropical forest tumbles down the steep slopes  to white, sandy beaches below. Behind are high, misty mountains and craggy peaks, densely clad with vegetation of every shade of green. Below, the sea sparkles a turquoise blue. Along the coast, yet hidden from view by the vegetation, are fishing villages, small scale resorts and towns such as Angra dos Reis.

Emerald Coast Holidays

Many activities can be booked whilst in Parati or Angra dos Reis such as boat trips to the many islands in the bay and tours of the coastal rainforest which gives the area its name. The islands offer good diving and snorkelling and many untouched, tropical beaches.
