Ten times the size of the United Kingdom, Argentina is the second largest country in South America after Brazil, being 1,580 kms from east to west and 3,460 kms from north to south. To fly from Iguazu in the north to Ushuaia in the south takes much the same time as from London to Cyprus. To the north it has borders with Uruguay, Brazil, Paraguay and Bolivia, to the west is Chile and to the east, the Atlantic Ocean.
